I first published part of my PhD as a book at CEPED in 1992 and coauthored a book on Tiruvannamalai in 1990 for the Ecole française d'Extrême-Orient with anthropologist Marie-Louise Reiniche. I then edited a collection of papers on migration and urbanization with my IRD colleague Véronique Dupont which came out in 1993. More recently, I coedited a book in 2000 at Oxford IBH on Indian environment issues and a collection of papers on space and demography with geographer Alain Vaguet. A CD and a bulky working paper were then published by the French Institute as results of the SIFP project. Back in France, I coauthored a book with fellow demographer Frédéric Sandron on international migration in 2003. Sage published in 2005 a collection of papers on South Indian demography edited with friend S Irudaya Rajan. The last book is a collection edited with Ined colleague Isabelle Attané on sex ratio imbalances in Asia published by CICRED in 2007.
